Our Wedding

Today I want to share with you another new release from The Scrapoholic Candy Shop. I love this image...plus there's a lot of extra "pieces" to go along with it, so you can pick and choose which one(s) you want to use! Here is the link to the digital I used for today's project: Our Wedding. Now on to my card!

I used basic white cardstock to download my image onto, and colored it with my Prismacolors. I'm a big fan of Prismacolors. After I finished coloring it, I mounted it onto yellow, then red cardstock. Then used white cardstock as my foundation. The flowers on the bottom left are very light, but they're also very tiny. I edged the red cardstock with a gold/black "ribbon" I got from the Lighthouse stop n' shop via Facebook page. After all that, I used Glossy Accents to put in some of Reneabouquets Diamond Glass Glitter onto the veil, and Stickles Diamond onto the "diamond" of the ring. Pearls were added in 3 corners and a little sentiment at the top.

Stop by The SCS today! There's a great sale going on through the end of this month! Let's see what you create!

I layered some teal and pink CS on top of that. I added a some ribbon and a bow.  I attached my matted image to the center of my card front. I added a few pearls to the top corners to finish off my card.

Ice Cream Bears

Happy Thursday, crafters! I'm so excited to share with you a new digital release by The Scrapoholic Candy Shop owner, Amanda! Go to the shop, click New Releases, and you'll see a few new "faces" there. Here is the link to the one I did, Ice Cream BearsI love the new images. They are adorable. I had a hard time figuring out which one I wanted to pick.
Normally, I would color my girl bear a lighter brown or something more pale, but I had some pens I wanted to try out, just to see if I could work with them. I've never done a project with just pens before. After I colored the images (see the Sprinkles jar?), I used clear Wink of Stella all over the pieces, except where I used metallic pens. Then I cut her and the jar out, placed her on white cardstock, and placed that onto a piece of printed pink cardstock from my stash. I then got my card base and placed everything onto it. The sprinkles jar is slightly angled. I had some chalk cardstock also in my stash, and found the word Celebrate. The rest of the sentiment was printed on white cardstock. I used Glass Glitter from Gone ArtsyShe has a lot of great items at a great price!

I hope you visit The Scrapoholic Candy Shop, and visit the blog for more DT inspiration every day! Also visit us on our Facebook page, and show us what you created!

Just Plane Cute

It's Just Plane Cute!  I love this adorable image from The Scrapoholic Candy Shop! And what's more, it comes prepared with sentiments! Some days, I need help with those sentiments, and this just happened to be one of those times!
I kept this one pretty CAS. I used a cloud designer paper from my stash, plus red and white cardstock. The white, of course, for my digital. Once again, I used my Prismacolors. I love those! I added a few stars in the sky, added some glossy accents, and my card was finished. I'll send this card to someone who needs a little pick me up.

Stop by the SCS blog and look over all the posts for inspiration! And don't forget to show us what you've created on the SCS Facebook page, too! We want to see it!

New! Dozen Roses

New Release! Dozen Roses.....and I LOVE it! Here is the link to the image and The Scrapoholic Candy Shop blog.

Hello, crafters! Jeanie Ellis, DT here, to share with you another project from the SCS!

Now, if you'll look at the image in the SCS website, the flowers are actually reversed. I had a plan to use heavy vellum paper from the Paper Temptress, print the roses on one side, turn it over to color, then turn it back over to see the "watercolor" effect. However, the red really stood out, so I decided to use the colored side, which reversed the image (permission given by owner of SCS shop, Amanda). I used 5 different Prismacolor reds, and 3 greens, and 2 yellows for the artwork. I also used paper from the Paper Temptress for the green and cream paper. The bright yellow was already in my stash.

I bought a black frame and used Rub 'n Buff Grecian Gold on the frame to give it a little "class" to the frame itself, glued some rick rack ribbon around the inside edge of the frame and added a fabric flower with ribbon. Both were RAK'd to me, along with the leaves.

I stamped and colored some butterflies to match the Dozen Roses and glued them on top of the leaves. One bit of advice, however....I really probably should have used a non-shiny glass instead of a shiny glass, as it was hard to photograph without some kind of reflection.

Be sure to check out the blog and the Facebook SCS page for DT inspiration and from others!

Blessings! Jeanie Ellis, Scrapbookingmamaw
